A couple of years ago a good friend of mine and I went out to eat at Tommy's in Eagle Rock. They were having something called "Tommy's Tuesdays", which at the time was a deal they would have on Tuesdays at certain Tommy's locations. Anyhow, my friend had the idea to shot a video of him saying some nice things about Tommy's and posting it on their Facebook page, so he took out his 5th Generation iPod Nano and asked if I could film it. I agreed and shot said video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H46mLOasqiA
As I looked over the footage I thought it would be fun to edit it to look like one of those travel shows. Little did we know that we were on the start to something great. On that day Coming to You LIVE with Marcelo Araujo was born.
It was a web show where we would go to different spots in L.A. (Eateries, Business, Hidden Gems, etc.) and show the audience why they should go and have their own LIVE experience. Marcelo would host and I would film and edit. All this was done off of a 5th Generation iPod Nano and Windows Movie Maker, and given with what we had to work with, I would say we were able to generate some pretty cool episodes http://www.youtube.com/ComingToYouLive81
Unfortunately, with our equipment breaking down (My Laptop and his Nano) and our time getting preoccupied with new business ventures and school, we had to put the show on hiatus. A hiatus that would last two years. During this time we would talk about the show and bringing it back, but we could never find the time or equipment to do so.
I'm happy to say that with a recent purchase of a Canon DSLR and access to a computer with Final Cut Pro 7, the show is well on it's way to coming back. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cr87qg1xj0k
I'm looking forward to getting back out there and filming places that you've never heard of or even been too, and showing why you should go there and have your own LIVE experience.
Get ready for Season 2!
